Iraqi Vice President Nouri Maleki says Israel is an entity that should be treated beyond the issue of regional terrorism.
Maleki was speaking to a news conference in Tehran on Monday.
The prominent Iraqi politician said Iraq, Syria and Iran are actually fighting in a joint force of resistance against the threat of Zionist regime of Israel.
“The force has plans to counter the threat,” the former prime minster said, adding the Israeli threat has political, cultural, economic and media dimensions.
Maleki said the Zionist regime of Israel pursues a project that goes beyond Palestine, adding that it was natural for Iran to join the front.
“Iran actually is on the vanguard of countering the threat,” he said.
Maleki was asked about the potential presence of the popular Iraqi force, Hashd al-Shabi in Syria after the thereat of the ISIS terrorism was stifled.
Maleki said Iraq has come scores to settle with the ISIS and would join Syria if invited.
