Iranian expert says Israel seeks to recruit allies in the region by forging military agreements with certain states.

Iranian expert in regional affairs, Hassan Hanizadeh says Israel seeks to recruit allies in the region by forging military agreements with certain states.

Hanizadeh told the Qods News Agency (Qodsna) that Israel seeks to fend off its internal problems by forging such alliances.

He said Israel appears to be trying to influence the PGCC states and open embassies in those states on the one hand and deepen its economic relations with Central Asian states on the other.

The expert touched on a visit to Azerbaijan Republic by the Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu and said Israel seeks to create a margin of safety amid deteriorating relations with the west.
